I was first licensed in
December 1984 with the callsign of ZR5EE. After passing my
morse code exam in 1991, I was allocated the callsign of ZS5BP, which I retained until December 2005. At that stage, I changed to my current callsign.
My eldest son, Jason, is also a licensed ham and holds the callsign
I am a member of both the
South African Radio League
Highway Amateur Radio Club.
